About GigPulse
A free tax calculator and resource for Canadian gig workers.
What is GigPulse?
GigPulse is a free, web-based tax calculator designed specifically for Canadian gig workers. Whether you drive for Uber Eats, SkipTheDishes, DoorDash, Instacart, or other delivery platforms, GigPulse helps you estimate your tax obligations using official 2026 Canadian tax rates.
We're not a SaaS platform, subscription service, or tax filing software. We're a simple tool to help you understand how much to set aside for taxes so you're not caught off guard come tax season.
How It Works
GigPulse uses CRA and provincial or territorial government publications as primary sources for federal and provincial tax brackets, CPP and CPP2 contribution rates, and automobile allowance assumptions. Simply enter your province, gross income, and business expenses to get an instant estimate of your tax obligations.
The calculator shows you your net self-employment income, CPP contributions, federal and provincial taxes, and a suggested amount to set aside each quarter.
Who Maintains GigPulse?
GigPulse is independently researched and maintained by Tyler Heinrichs. I use AI tools to help organize, compare, and check my research across the current tax year, but I am not a CPA or tax professional. AI-assisted research is not a substitute for professional tax advice or review.
Tax rules and individual circumstances can change. Review the assumptions and government sources before relying on an estimate, and use CRA-certified tax software or a qualified tax professional for your return.
Important Disclaimer

Always consult a qualified CPA or use CRA-certified tax software for your actual filing. GigPulse and its creators are not responsible for any discrepancies between these estimates and your actual tax obligation.
